This past weekend I attended the first ever Online Marketing Mastering BOMM event, held at Klang Sentral. There were 9-10 participants there. I’m so glad to meet kak Ummi, kak Liya, kak Aini, Kak Anis, Eza, kak Ita, Asma, Abang Mazlan and Amin.
The big challenge I have to go through to attend the course of Online Marketing Mastery, I'm having asthma attacks. With a heavy flu and difficulty breathing make me not comfortable in the class. Thanks Allah, I finished my course and I was really amazed at how much I have enriched my knowledge after completing the course!
The course has put me on track and motivated me to know tactics with the proper guidance and education. It helped avoid of mistakes that I would have made on my own.
To Coach Zul and Coach Noh..
Three things I’ve learned : -
1. Start defining your Buyer : Customer Avatar
When you write a product description with a huge crowd of customer in mind, your descriptions end up vague and dull. A better approach is to create a customer persona.
A customer persona is a representation of the type of person you see as your ideal customer. A description of that person might include such variables as their gender, age, behavior patterns, marital status and motivations. The more detailed you can get in your description, the more focused you can be in marketing. You may even find you have more than one customer to target.
Customer Avatar or Funnel
2. Good Copywriters Make Readers Want to Know More
From this perspective I realized, although I am a writer and have won a script writing contest for several time but that does not help me to make copywriter which can attract customers to buy.
If you want to be successful online, the only essential skill is being a good copywriter.
What is copywriting, specifically? It's the art of writing persuasively in order to market a product, service, person, or idea. If you haven't looked around lately, the vast majority of the Internet comes in text form. Along with that, nearly all the writing you see is persuasive. News articles, sales pages, status updates -- they're all trying to sell something, even if it doesn't always seem like it.
When you recognize that you're being persuasive with every piece of content you put on the internet, you can make your messages even more effective for marketing strategy. Then you know the importance of watching your prospect and customizing your pitch to get the sale.
The prospect’s verbal cues and body language help you to gauge how you’re doing and adjust your focus to their interests.
But what if you’re not selling in person? What if you have to rely on your written words to sell for you? Then you’d better be sure you’ve chosen the right words.
The headline starts off the selling process but it can’t do the whole job. While the goal of the headline is to guide your reader’s attention to the first sentence, your copy will still need to work to keep him engaged. Good copywriters know they must give careful consideration to every word.
Features are characteristics that your product or service has. For catalog and e-commerce listings, give specifics and details, not fluff. Size, shape and color would all be features.
